New Fire Station Consisting of Three Drive Thru Apparatus Bays.
This project consisted of the construction of a new 11,268 SF fire station including three drive thru apparatus bays. The facility is home to Boulder’s wildland fire crews and also acts as the regional command center in conjunction with the already existing training center facilities. The project includes dormitories, officer offices and gathering areas such as a large commercial kitchen and workout area. The project was USGBC LEED Certified.

This project was a design-bid-build delivery so Symmetry Builders, Inc.’s involvement was not until late in the design process. Regardless, Symmetry was able to engage with ALLRED and provide nearly $500,000 in value engineering to bring the project to the owner’s budget. Although there were some value-added changes during the construction process, these changes were minimized through providing minimal cost solutions as well as offsetting cost through other scopes to maintain the project budget.
